Buried Onions is a very good book. It is about a man name Eddie that lives in Fresno, California who had dropped out of college and lived in a slum apartment. I like the book because it was very realistic. He turned his life around by joining the navy. Before he did that he painted curbs, and did other little jobs to get by. Sometimes he got into trouble but always found a way to get out. He was on a mission at first to find out who killed his cousin. Eddie’s aunt gave him a gun to find out who had killed him. I can relate to Eddie in some ways. I do side jobs sometime to make extra money. I also get in trouble sometimes but usually I get out of it easily. Sometime I think about going in to the Air Force to get away from everyone and turn my life around.

Restaurant Review

Imagine walking into a restaurant where you always smell fresh hot fries and you always hear a lot of chatter and this beeping noise. McDonalds on Denbigh Blvd. is the best fast food restaurant around. They sell American food. I’ve tried many things at McDonalds. The best one to me is the double quarter pounder. It has two patties, ketchup, minced onions, cheese and pickles all put together on a sesame seed bun. It tastes better plain to me. The French fries are the best. Both are always hot, fresh, and seasoned just right. The chicken nuggets at McDonalds are kind of tough and chewy. They are rarely warm. The honey mustard sauce for the nuggets doesn’t taste right. The Filet-O-Fish is kind of good. The sauce on that sandwich is disgusting and it is very tangy. The cashiers at McDonalds are sometimes hard to talk to. Most of the time they get the orders messed up. Sometimes they ring it up wrong. The cashiers also have attitudes at times especially when it’s crowded. The tables are also cleaned when a customer leaves. The soda dispenser is always working, but the McFlurry machine is always broken. The receipt is always given right after you pay for your food. McDonalds is most of the time clean. They usually don’t play music in there. The bathrooms need more improvement because there is always tissue on the floor. My food usually costs $10.14. McDonalds is the best fast food restaurant around. It is very affordable. McDonalds isn’t really a good place to have a birthday celebration because it is always crowded. You don’t have to make a reservation to go to McDonalds. It’s a great place to go for a large group of people. I think they need to improve on the employee’s attitude towards the costumers.

MOVIE REVIEW: LOVE & BASKETBALL

Love and Basketball is a romantic drama film. It was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. It takes place in Los Angeles,CA with two people growing up loving basketball and eventually loving eachother. The stars in this movie is Omar Epps (Quincy) and Sanaa Lathan (Monica). Both of there dreams was to play professional basketball when they get out of college. Quincy was already the son of a NBA legend and Monica had to work hard to establish herself. Both actors were great in this movie and they played the role well.The lighting and other effects were also perfect. This movie is great for teens. I would have to say 15 and up instead of 13 years old. The slow music goes perfect with each event that happens in the movie. It had some ups and downs but it would still be something I recommend to see if you haven’t seen it already. I would give this movie 3 stars.This would be a type of movie people can relate to in real life because there are people in the world that’s in college playing sports hoping to be professional one day.I STRONGLY recommend it!!!!If you want to see the movie trailer or photos from the movie log onto http://www.loveandbasketball.net/home.html

She started off in the group Junior M.A.F.I.A.
